Image Gallery
An image gallery displays multiple images connected to a record.
Image galleries are useful for projects, venues, products, artworks, people, events, and other records with several images. They are media components for browsing related images and, when enabled, adding new ones.
When to Use It
Use an image gallery when users need to review more than one image for the same record.
Galleries are a good fit for visual archives, product photography, event images, or artwork documentation. If a record only needs one primary visual, use Image Display.
What Can Be Configured
Gallery Content
The gallery can show thumbnails, larger preview images, and original files. It can also display captions or other image information when that context helps users choose the right image.
Uploading
Projects can enable image uploads from inside the gallery. This is useful when users maintain the visual material directly in Pianola.
Layout
Thumbnail size and maximum height can be adjusted to suit the type of images. Dense galleries can show many images at once, while larger thumbnails are better when visual detail matters.
