Tagger
A tagger lets users add and remove multiple tags.
Taggers are useful for keywords, categories, skills, interests, labels, genres, and other flexible many-to-many classifications. They are input components for attaching multiple related values to a record.
When to Use It
Use a tagger when the selected values should appear as compact labels and the list may grow over time.
Taggers work well for flexible classification, search, and filtering. If users need to review a short fixed list and make deliberate selections, Checkbox Group may be clearer.
What Can Be Configured
Available Tags
The tag list can come from a managed value table. Labels can be based on the value users should recognise, while the system stores the underlying relationship.
New Tag Entry
Projects can decide whether users may create new tag values directly from the field. This is helpful for flexible vocabularies but should be avoided when the list needs strict governance.
Appearance
Tags can be shown in a compact style when space is tight. The field can also use a portal-like display when tags need more visual presence.
